HEBI Robotics offers a range of components designed to streamline the creation of customized robots. These components, when combined with the HEBI APIs, facilitate seamless programming of robots using various programming languages. One such component within this ecosystem is the HEBI Mobile IO App. This application integrates smoothly with HEBI APIs and tools, supplying analog and digital inputs that play a vital role in controlling these robots.

The HEBI Mobile IO App functions as a network device, offering analog and digital "feedback" information and inertial measurements, akin to the HEBI IO Board. This feedback can be retrieved via MATLAB, C, C++, and Python APIs for HEBI components, downloadable from docs.hebi.us. Users can also employ these APIs to send commands that modify the state and configuration of the HEBI Mobile IO app.

The app provides two modes for operation: a "virtual joystick" mode that maps axes and buttons to 8 analog and 8 digital inputs, and another mode featuring sliders and buttons for direct adjustment of 8 analog and 8 digital input "pins" (banks A and B in the feedback object). Users can effortlessly switch between these modes via the app's settings.

In addition to these features, the app leverages the camera in conjunction with Apple's ARKit technology to determine a full 6 Degrees of Freedom (DOF) pose estimate of the device as it moves within its environment.
